How Uncle Joe Works

Every line item on your repair order is evaluated against four pillars of industry-standard data. Uncle Joe does not guess. He analyzes.

Pillar 1 — Parts Pricing

Uncle Joe evaluates each part against manufacturer reference pricing. Parts that fall outside typical industry ranges are flagged for your review. Parts within a fair range receive a green check.

Pillar 2 — Labor Time

Every repair operation has a standard industry reference time. Uncle Joe compares the labor hours on your estimate against those reference times. If the labor on your estimate falls outside the typical range for that operation, it is flagged so you can ask informed questions.

Pillar 3 — Maintenance Schedule

Is this service actually due at your mileage? Uncle Joe checks manufacturer recommendations and flags anything being pushed before it is due. A transmission service that is not due until 90,000 miles being recommended at 30,000 miles is a yellow or red flag depending on how far out it is.

Pillar 4 — Warranty Coverage

Uncle Joe checks whether any repair on your estimate may fall within your existing basic, powertrain, or emissions warranty coverage. Identifying potential warranty coverage opportunities can save you significant money and gives you the right questions to ask before authorizing any work.
